the hunt begins

oh, dear, he almost gave the poor woman a heart attack. that wouldn't have done him any good considering it was not yet her time. oh, no. he would be back for her at a later date. the crow tilted his head once more, straightening up as if to get a better look at the elderly woman. one of his feet released its hold on the edge of the well, carrying him forward one step at a time as he drew closer to the woman, quietly listening to her with small movements of the head to show that he was listening. strange spaces? dark fur? tch, if she makes me find a damn cat... the sigh he emitted came out as a hushed caw. the white crow remained silent for a few moments before spreading his wings and taking to the sky, circling around the wrinkly woman before flying away from the well of prayers and into the city.

black fur, likes sunbathing... i guess i'm hunting for a cat unless she trained some sort of raccoon. the mere thought made him laugh, emitting another string of harsh caws. pale blue scanned the buildings below, searching for splotches of black on the rooftops. i should head more towards the suburbs... urban areas? eh. i doubt a feline would be stupid enough to climb a skyscraper. inorelon dipped his feathered body to the side, changing direction and heading to the east until the tall buildings began to fade into apartment complexes with houses beginning to sprinkle throughout.

it didn't take the crow too long before he spotted something of interest darting through the streets, blaring its sirens in alarm. following the police car, he spared little glances towards the animal control and news vehicles. the combination of the three intrigued him, but he couldn't allow himself to get too distracted while he was on this... errand. he picked up his speed, soaring overhead to try and reach the vehicles' destination before they could, taking the barricades and the gathered humans as a sign that something was going on. he perched on a tree, taking in his surroundings while trying to gather any information from the crowd below. he ruffled his feathers, craning his neck as he looked around. his gaze settled on the building, and white wings carried him into the air and towards the roof.

oh? the demon landed on the roof tiles just before a large, black, curled up form. slowly, the crow walked around the mound of dark fur, trying to find some sort of head. wait, there were the ears! because the collar wasn't a good enough indicator of where the head was. he paused his steps, quite certain that this was a horrible form to be in when facing a... really large feline. ah, well, this putty tat isn't nearly as fearsome as others... or myself. the white crow let out a string of caws, pulling his wings from his side as he hopped into the air to land on the panther's back in an attempt to wake the large cat up. i'm just making an educated guess here, but, seriously, what old lady keeps a panther in her house?
